Hi Guys in my first post I talked lots about offering conditioning treatment, and how you could increase your cash flow providing this service.
So today I will explain about this service.
But first, we need to understand the basics of it.

What is the Hydration?
It is the replacement of water and nutrients of the hair.

So If we understand this basic principle, we could look at it in another way and not thinking that a hydration has only the aesthetic factor.
If the hair grows from follicles within the skin, we can conclude that a healthy hair helps in maintaining healthy skin.
Today there are a large number of products on the market, and it is up to us professionals to understand these products so that we can take a better advantage of them.

So let’s say for example if we use a Conditioning/Mask that has Avocado Oil in it.

What benefit will it bring to the hair?

Avocado Oil is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, D and E.
This vitamin complex works as a cellular activator; Activating the cells will stimulate blood flow; Stimulating the blood circulation will help to unblock the hair bulb. As a result, that will support the hair growth and also the repairing of hair damage.
This complex also works as a sunblock for the pet fur.

If we use a product that has Macadamia Oil.
Macadamia Oil: Unique vegetable oil with high palmitoleic acid content. Protects lipids from the skin against peroxidation, moisturises and prevents loss of moisture. Easily absorbed by skin and hair, lubricating and maintaining water balance. It guarantees your metabolism and healthy appearance, besides presenting regenerative properties.

If we use a product that has Wheat Protein.
A weak or breakable hair has furrow in its extension, the Wheat Protein has low molecular weight, thus penetrating these furrows and increasing the resistance of the hair, reducing breakage and falls.

If we use a product that has D-PANTHENOL:
The high concentration of this component that moisturises and forms a soft film around the hair, protecting it from damages and reducing the formation of double ends. Pro-vitamin B5 is the precursor of pantothenic acid, which is an essential vitamin in maintaining the health of the skin and hairs. It penetrates slowly through the hair shaft, accumulating in the strand and reaching the root of the hair, where it is metabolised to pantothenic acid. In the coat, it provides long-lasting moisturising, improves elasticity and thickens the strands, restoring the condition of damaged coat visualised by gloss.

Remembering that hair is almost all Keratin, we also have to do the replacement of it, but it is worth remembering that too much Keratin harden and can lead to a chemical break, so, how to do it safely then?

If you have a product that has Cysteine in its formula, that will help to prevent the problem.
Cysteine is one of the amino acids that makes up the amino acid chain of Keratin, with the advantage of being an intelligent molecule; if the hair has a low Keratin level, it will stimulate production, if the hair has an average or high level of Keratin, it will not do anything.

If we use a product that has Chocolate Moisturizing.
It is rich in Cocoa extract, this extract works the dominance of the strands, dominating the rebellious hairs.

If we use a product that has Strawberry Moisturizing.
Rich in vitamin C, it helps fight free radicals, slowing the ageing of the strands.

The intention of this matter is to show that with the knowledge we can add value to our services and show our clients the importance of them.
That it is not only an aesthetic factor but also of maintaining the health of the pet hair and skin.

Look at the photos bellow (before and after), the client had a deep conditioning treatment and now the dog coat looks shiny and healthy.
